Coverage Area

Our coverage area includes all of Washington County, Ohio plus many calls to assist fire departments in West Virginia. The Ohio River is the border of Ohio and West Virginia. Visibility in the Ohio River ranges from about 4 inches in cold water to zero visibility in the summer. The temperature will range anywhere from 30 degrees to 75 degrees. There are 2 other major rivers that feed into the Ohio River, the Muskingum at Marietta, Ohio and the Little Kanawha at Parkersburg, West Virginia. The Ohio River runs for about 80 miles along the Washington County border. There are also several small rivers and creeks that feed in to the Ohio River. There are also several large lakes, small lakes, ponds, and quarries in our response area.
